Support Forum
Hello,
I am concerned on how to improve the forum pages loading time, I mean I would like to make them faster on loading.
I have tried to use Quick Cache with following setting:
- Cache logged in user (True always cache)
- Expiration time in seconds (3600)
Now the load speed look better but unfortunately there is some kind of conflict if I log in as "myusername" any user that login after me see my user name and get only the forum permissions of "myusername".
Could you suggest me any caching solution that speed up pages without interfering with normal user activity?
We are evaluating also migration to a VPS server, but it is very worthy? I heard that the performance is pretty much the same of shared hosting with more features.
This is the problematic forum: http://beyondchocolate.co.uk/forum/
Thanks
none of the wp caching solutions will work for the forum... all of the forum content is dynamically done on a single wp page... so they get it wrong... they see it all as the same page (which it technically is) so they cache it - which they cannot since its dynamic... so any wp plugin caching solution needs to ignore the forum page...
we do a lot of internal caching and are always looking for ways to increase that too...
you are looking at the wrong VPS solution if its comparable to shared hosting... any VPS solution I have seen or used is definitely a step up from shared hosting... but there are many levels of VPS...
