Blimey, sorry; I must be blind as a bat. I looked there for ages and now there it is!
Have installed it. My forum is for members only. Currently if you are signed in, you can see the post title and when you hover, part of the post shows. If not a logged in member, nothing shows at all.
What I was trying to do was to put the post titles on the front page of my site to tease non-members and encourage them to become a member. Is there any way of doing that ie showing just the titles at all, please?
Thanks
well, the forum and topic titles in the widget are subject to the same permissions as your forum... so if guests cannot view the forum, they cannot view the widget stuff either...
you could try using the sneak peek stuff... two permissions, on lets you let users view the forum titles only, the second, lets them view forum and topic titles... neither let them see the posts themselves... if they try to go to the post, you can display a special message, such as 'why dont you join our community' or redirect to a special page...
BUT, this would have to apply to the forum and the widget... they use the same permissions...
