I have discovered that if you activate the TinyMCE Plugin and set TinyMCE as the default editor in Global settings you can't add or edit posts.
The subject line can be written in but the main body, although visible, cannot be typed in. path: P appears bottom right which I don't recall seeing before.
When trying to edit a post, the post appears very briefly in the edit window and then the window goes blank.
To get back to normal I have to switch to test in global settings and de-activate then re-activate the plugin, making sure that use TinyMCE is not set in global settings.
Then the first post after this switching around is prefilled with

Not sure if this is specific to my set up and I'm sure it hasn't always been the case.
Edit: Just realised that, although I can activate the post window I can't actually post with the TinyMCE plugin enabled at all. Text editor is OK
yes, going to be related to your setup... Its obviously not a general problem for users of simple press... and will likely come down to a js conflict...
do you have a link to your site? does this happen for admins? users? guests? all? which browsers have you tried? same in all browsers?

The above is with Firefox. Tried IE and can't even get a post form.
Heres a link http://www.swanseawheelers.co.uk/forum I'll leave TinyMCE enable so you can see what I mean. Happens for admins and users. Guests can't post without registration.
Edit: found it, WP plug-in conflict - TheThe Tabs and Accordians
seems like some caching is involved:

with W3TC, you MUST disable for the wp page the forum is on for ALL types of caching... check each option page of w3tc for caching types you are using and tell it to ignore the forum page...
not being able to actually post makes it hard to tell if more conflicts.. but if you do a temp switch to the wp default theme, does it still occur? just helps narrow it down...
