I'm just curious if there's a method of mass-relocating members of one forum to another? We're wanting to create a private forum that will have a particular membership list for a limited time. Once that forum's time limit has been reached, we need a method to take everyone that's currently a member of that forum and move them to another forum. Is there a way to select all the forum members, and copy or drag them to the membership of another forum?

No, not from a UI perspective... you could write a db query or short php function to move them using the api...

Steve: Surely the Move Members will do this will it not? I know Melanie says 'move from one forum to another' but in practice this would mean a user group change surely. Or - indeed - just removing a whole User group from the old forum and putting them onto the new one as long as the User Group only contains the members in question...

perhaps, I misunderstood the desire... Melanie, can you clarify exactly what you want to do? will it be every user in a usergroup, ie can you move the entire usergroup to the new forum... or select members? do you have the 'single membership' option turned on?
