I just installed Simple:Press today and added a bunch of plugins from the directory (no third-party plugins). The forum shows up fine at http://sensibility.com/message-forum/, and I can click most of the links. However, even though the forums are unlocked, I am unable to post any new topics. I've checked the information on jquery conflicts, but none of that info seems to apply here.

Any ideas for me?

Thanks,

Jennie

Okay, I opened up the source file (see image), and it looks like Java script is set to "null," so no Java script is available for the "post topic" button. How do I fix this? I have other Java script sources in my site, because my shopping cart is driven by Java. I obviously don't want to disable that....Screen-Shot-2012-10-09-at-12.14.03-AM.pngImage Enlarger

Ideas?

Thanks,

J.

dont worry about the javascript null... that just means there is no href to load... instead the onclick property is used to perform actions...

I am seeing js errors coming from your theme, in particular the gallerific scripts it includes...  is the theme up to date?? and current? that is, work with the latest jquery that wp loads?

what are you doing with that gallerific stuff?  anything on the forum page itself?

for quick test, do a temp switch to wp default theme and see if things work...

if its the theme as I suspect, we can help you work around the theme...

Oh, brother--my WP theme was custom-built for me, so it sounds like I'll need to get my tech guy to look into this. It has to be a Java script interference error of some kind. I don't want to switch to the regular theme for fear I'll lose a bunch of my customizations.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Cheers,

Jennie

let us know if we can help some more... happy to help troubleshoot, but will require you or your tech to test some changes to narrow down...
