I do not want to display forum stats at the bottom of the page but cannot figure out how to disable it with V5.
I changed the following:
Options - General Display Settings ----------> Display Forum Stats is set to zero for both options but the stats are still there.
How can I stop forum stats from appearing?

You will need to remove them from the theme template as V5 is now wp-like template driven.
You need the spFoot.php template in your theme /templates folder.
As always we recommend that you create your own SP theme so that any customisation is not lost during a future update. (http://codex.simple-press.com/.....g-a-theme/)

I tried clicking the link, but it takes me to the membership sales page even though I'm a member.

In the right hand sidebar, please log into the codex using the same credentials you use here. then you will be able to use the codex.
