OK - let's try something if you would.

Go to the avatar options admin panel again. As anything after SP Avatars makes no difference - drag Gravatars to be above WP Avatars, And then update the panel again.

If this makes no difference to the profile then it will be time to take a look at your error log. Maybe while you are in the admin side you could clear your current error log in the toolbox so that we can see if anything gets triggered when the profile form/avatar tab is opened.

By form/avatar tab you DO mean the profile - avatar yes? I assume you do.
So let's try and narrow things down a little. You say this happens when you edit other peoples profiles. What about your own? Do you see the full upload section then?

Well that maybe helps narrow things a little... perhaps!

Let's try this: forum admin > toolbox > housekeeping - and run the task 'reset auths cache'...

The code makes jus two checks.

1. Are uploads turned on in the profiles > avatars settings?
2. Does the current user have permission to upload avatars?

And that's it. So we checked the first condition yesterday and we have checked the second one today. And I am assuming here that you ARE logged in as a fully fledged forum Admin.

After that we would be looking at code errors... but we have checked for those as well. So I am somewhat puzzled...

If you open your own profile form - permissions tab and view a forum can we safely see that Upload Avatars IS ticked on (in the uploads section)?
