so it was working?  what has changed?

are you sure you have permissions set up for guests to view?  see:  http://codex.simple-press.com/.....ng-access/

take a look at your permissions and see what access you have given guests...

well as fas as I can see the groups and the permissions are not connected in anyway.

If i click to edit guest group there is no way to set its permissions. If I click permissions read only then there is no way to add the guest group into it.

Where is the way to connect them? I mean connect the group with the permission?

How can I set the permissions in guest user group?

I have permissions set. And I have user groups

But how do I assign a permission to a user group?

"When you create a new forum, your Usergroups are listed in the forum creation form and you will need to assign to each Usergroup a set of Permissions."

Ok so that is for 'create a new forum' but the same ap;lies to 'edit a forum' Manage forums = select a forum and view the current permissions - this is where the permissions are 'married' to user groups.

But - if you can't see it as the forum Admin then more is at play here. So - what do you see?
