Support Forum
Our SP forum used to have an option to set the whole forum to a single page as it is now with this in the header <link rel="canonical" href="https://wooddesigner.org/forum/" /> of all the forum pages.
We opted against that preferring to keep the forum posts available to the search engines but this option (a tick box) seems to have disappeared, or we cannot find it, perhaps moved with an update?
Could you advise please.
Thanks
Hi,
Sorry, that doesn't resolve the issue.
If you take a look at this page view-source:https://wooddesigner.org/forum.....enquiries/ you'll see that on line 30, the canonical tag is showing the parent URL https://wooddesigner.org/forum/ and it is the same for any topic page on the forum. This tells the search engines to treat the whole forum as 1 single page and is problematic for this site.
This used to be a setting within this forum plugin to enable this or disable it but it seems to have been lost in an update.
Please can you look into it further?
Thanks
Hi:
That's the only option we've ever had as far as setting the whole forum to a single page. We haven't deliberately removed any options other than the ones specified in our deprecation policy (https://simple-press.com/depre.....-policies/).
Are you sure it was something that was part of the core plugin and not custom code that might have been created for you?
Thanks.
