Support Forum
I have installed the plugin on our beta site, but can't add a topic to the new forum. I click on the little "Add new topic in the forum" button, but an edit GUI never comes up. It just refreshes on the same page.
Any leads to help me track this down? Please help.
Thanks in advance!
sounds like a js conflict... see: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/
do you have a link so we can check for obvious conflicts?

I disabled all plugins at one point, but it did not help. Maybe you can see something that might... http://community/forum,
Thanks.
more often than not, its the wp theme causing problems, not another wp plugin... or caching or js minification...
can you try a temp switch to the default wp theme and see if things work?

Thanks for the tip. I changed the Theme to Twenty Eleven and it did not help, so I tried Twenty Fourteen and it did not help. I tried different browsers, too... just in case it was a local issue. This did not work either.
Could it be a permissions issue with the install? I checked the folder permissions on the plugin folder and it is set to 755 like the others.
No - I do not see any errors being reported as such. Basically you have something going on there that is redirecting all of the url requests to the main forum front page. The urls being requested are all correct but redirection is taking place.
If you have deactivated al of the other WP plugins and this is still happening then you may need to ask your host why this is. Most often it is another plugin. The plugin 'Permalink Redirection' for example may do this. The 'Yoast SEO' plugin can also do this.
I see you are running Jigoshop. I believe - although I am unsure if this is still correct - that that has caused some problems in the past just not sure what they were.

I disabled the plugins, but it did not help.
I checked the error log. It had some interesting information that may help point out the bottleneck. It looks like the tables are not being created correctly during the install. I have attached the log for your review. Perhaps it will help determine what is going on.
I uninstalled Simple-Press and re-installed it, but it still does not allow users to add a post.
Thanks again.
nothing attached... and it wont be a database issue... the page loads, then the js opens the form and scrolls to it... the js is not running as it appears an error with cycle js is stopping it...

Humm... well, unfortunately I'm only so good at programming. I'm not sure what to do here.
So I tried using the Integration panel in the Plugin and now it allows me to post!!! Yeah! I set it to "Limit forum display to within WP loop" ONLY. This appears to have fixed the issue. Let me know if this might bring about other issues.
Thanks.
