Hello, I can't close images on my forum.

The only way to close it is using the "escape" key on the keyboard. There is no little "x" to close it.
Also i'd like to remind you that I am very technically illiterate so please explain how to fix this as though I am 3 years old.

think you need to update your sp theme...

the section on popup dialogs... wp 3.6 came with a whole major version of qjuery ui and things were changed...

I have updated everything.. wordpress.. all my plugins.. all of the SP themes (and I have tried them all). the problem persists with all upgraded themes. Please help!

looks like an issue with your broken links plugins... its adding this css:
.ui-dialog-titlebar-close {
display: none;
}
which causes it to not show up... so you will need to consult with that plugin... no clue why its doing that... do you know if it had an update to go with wp 3.6? it might be suffering from not supporting the new jquery ui...

how did you determine the problem? I want to know so i dont need to bother you guys in future with such issues

I inspected the css for the popup dialog using the browser inspection tools (in this case, Firefox with Firebug)... by examining the CSS, I could see the plugin css was hiding the button with the display:none

I have a similar problem. After the upgrade, I can no longer x out of a picture when I open it. I'm pressing on the x but it won't connect. In fact the picture is greyed out. I've downloaded all of the latest updates. I am using a custom theme. How can I fix this?
