OK Tried the Linux version of Opera and drag and drop works fine I also tried Google Chromium the both work OK so must be something odd in Iceweasel
They are both faster as well !!! ditching Iceweasel.
I suspect that as 'Android' is a version of Linux these two are kept up to date.

If you go into 'Settings' then 'About Device' you will find Kernal version. If you have a File Manager
see if you can find Phone internal storage , every folder there is labelled the same as My operating system.
But think about this - how many things that we use require a computer chip to run them - hundreds ?
Now Microsoft don't do it they are all based on Linux.
You will probably find that the server this website is hosted on is Linux - one of the reasons is they require far less security than Windows
