Can't edit or delete posts unless logged into WP as admin

I've checked and rechecked our user groups and permissions.

The "Moderator" role in SP for example is set to (YES) delete any posts and (YES) edit posts.

Yet when I'm logged in as a moderator I can do neither.

Help?

(Our forum is protected so if you need logins to troubleshoot let me know where I can send those please.)

Assuming the moderator user enjoys the same permission set linked to all forums then that sounds wrong of course. Just in case something has become scrambled go to the forum admin > toolbox > housekeeping and run the task 'Reset the Auths Cache' to see if that clears things.

Excellent. Unsure, of course, how they became out of sync but that is what the tool is for - clean them up if something wrong is spotted. Good to know that was all the problem was.
