Hi,

I can't seem to edit my forum posts. Not sure what happened.

Can't even delete a portion of it.

Just stays the same.

Any thoughts?

It sounds like you may have a caching plugin setup that shows you old information.
If you have a caching plugin you need to turn it off for the forum pages.

No - I don't have a caching plugin for this particular Wordpress setup.

Can you explain in a little more detail? Do you literally mean that you load up the post to edit in the editor - make changes - save and the changes you made do not get reflected?

And there seems to be implied in your first post that this is new behaviour so the question - as always - has to be what has changed on the site?

Correct - I created a new post. Then later tried to edit it but could not.

Quick Update - I just made a reply to someone else's post and I was able to edit that.

So not sure why I'm not able to edit a post I created originally.

And is that still the case even after editing someone elses post?

Yes. It was my own post that I was able to edit. A reply to someone else.

the last is confusing...  previously you said you could edit your own post, but now you say you can?  are you trying to edit with the forum tools or the edit button?  have you tried both?

To clarify - I am NOT able to edit a post that I originally start. (I.E. starting a new thread)

I am able to edit a post that I reply to. (Topics that I don't originally start)

Strange I know but not sure what to do.
