One more quick update - I think I'm getting closer to the problem.

I've done some more testing and have found that the only posts that I'm not able to edit are those that are fairly long. I'm able to edit 'shorter' posts without any problem.

I recently had to have my webhost increase the php.ini max size (or whatever that is) to be able to post longer posts on the forum. But I'm not able to 'edit' longer posts.

Any ideas?

Yes this is as admin. Did you see my reply above that though.

It looks like it's something to do with php.ini / the length of the post.

Yes I've already increased the php.ini max size so that we're able to make longer posts.

But not sure why I'm not able to edit longer posts.

I would still like to know 'HOW' you are attempting to edit the post... via the edit button or the edit link in the forum tools??  and if you have tried both of them...

also, did you try increasing the post_max_size again?  editing a post will 'post' more data than creating the post because of additional date that has to be posted...

Using the edit button. The one at the top right with 'Delete', 'Edit', 'Quote'.

have tested and not able to replicate this, of course...

do you get the same issue if you use the forum tools edit link?  and what about another increase the post_max_size?
