change default SP avatar?

is there a way to change the default SP avatar used for new members? .. I've looked and can't find an option to do this .. thanks in advance

Sure - just replace the ones it comes with. You will find then in the forum-avatars storage location - by default in wp.content/sp-resources/ and there are three default avatars supplied. The only rule is that you need to keep the same name and file type when replacing them...
