Clash of the jQueries... my pop-ups don't work.

Hi there,

I've been playing with Simple:Press for the past couple of days and I'm finding that there seems to be an issue with JavaScript in that Pop-Ups don't seem to be working. I'm calling jQuery quite a lot for the WordPress Theme I'm using and I'm wondering if my calling is affected when I use the Forum page/s?

I get the following errors when clicking on usernames in the Newest Users area:

Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'dialog'

Seeing as I call jQuery anyway where would I go about commenting out the call made by Simple:Press (my grep skills are poor wink).

I've turned off Pretty Box thus:

define('SF_USE_PRETTY_CBOX', false);

And asked Simple:Press to load JavaScript at the bottom of the page as well as I saw those suggestions while browsing here.

Thanks for you time,

Dom

p.s. Just as an aside can I turn the math thing off? My security and group policy is almost rabid so I don't need it,

The 'math thing' is turned on or off in the appropriate permission sets (can bypass spam control).

Where does your site load jQuery and the jQueey Ui from? This is the most common conflict. Explained here: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/

Thanks a lot YS. I had spent a day looking through the documentation but hadn't found that page. Makes things a shed load easier now! Fixed now.

Thanks again,

Dom

Oh excellent news. Sorry - I only wrote that up yesterday! I was getting tired of explaining it!

I would love to read this to try and resolve an apparent jquery issue, but I can't seem to access any codex pages without being asked to register again... confused

You currently need to log in to the codex using the same credentials. We are working on single login for both but it just isn't as easy as it sounds.
