Support Forum
hi I know you dont have support for ultimate member yet and your just thinking of it .....I was just wondering I was using buddypress and uninstalled it then installed ultimate member. the plugin uses standard wp roles but some how simple press is restricting posting and viewing .........I dont understand ......any help would be great
going to need more information... what happened? what went wrong? what did you configure?
who is restricting access to what? the wp page? or individual forums/topics/etc?
if you want to use forum permissions, everyone must be able to view the wp page the forum is on, then let the forum access take control..

ok I uninstalled buddypress......it was fine I could see the guest forum section and members and admin forum area.....I installed ultimate member and the forum section guest area was there ....member forum and admin section cant see ......and if i want to see a post in the guest area it says do not have permission . I didnt think one plugin could make this big impact . I contacted the author of ultimate member about the issue and they saw their plugin had no issues so they told me to contact this one ........Oh how I wish wordpress would have plugins play nice in the playground together .
any help would be great cause honest I dont want to go to bbpress <<<<YUCK YUCK YUCK ..........
ok update I got all the forums to be viewed but I still have the issue with Access denied - you do not have permission to view this page IE > http://prntscr.com/71b5ol when I try to view
Not sure I fully understand this:
I got all the forums to be viewed but I still have the issue with Access denied
Seems contradictory somehow! I find it hard to see how either BuddyPress or Ultimate Member could have a bearing on this one to be honest. Was there anything else you did at the same time as this seems to me to be a permissions issue and you being an admin should have access to everything.
So lets try this first. Go to the forum admin > Toolbox > Housekeeping and run the task top 'Reset Auths Cache'. See if that changes anything.

Not really any idea and I am unable to replicate the problem locally as well.
What about the Ultimate Member Access Settings? If you turn all of those off does the forum page load then? And if so you could try turning them on one at a time (as you need them) to see if any of those are the issue.
