The host guy is saying this:

That error message by wordpress is indicating that the plugin is using callback codes from an older version of wordpress that the latest version no longer supports.
The plugin might be outdated and need to be updated by its developers.

lol. this is the host you dont like, right? 
again, not helpful and incorrect.. we actually use the wp core dev tool that tells you if you are using deprecated functions... if they really, really think that, they ought to be able to provide with said callback codes..
and this would certainly be more wide spread...

Exactly. Now you understand what I am dealing with.
In any case, what can I try to do now? I don't much believe in getting the right help on their side.
I asked for the callback codes. I'll let you know as soon as I hear back. IF I DO

Are you sure that is your error log? looks more like an access log... or http headers... but not error log...
and the statuses returned are 200 (ok) and 304 (not modified)... so dont see anything strange in there...
So, could we sort of start over? and explain what is going on? have lost the bubble a bit on this one... you uploaded plugin but cannot install?

LOL, I have no idea where to get logs except off my control panel on the host site and I downloaded "Error Logs" off of the Log Management page. The log for one day is SUPER long so I just copied a part that contained simple-press and says "error=true&plugin=simple-press" over and over.
I have tried everything, reinstalling Word Press, deleting the simple:press plugin quite a few times and re-uploading it.
When I try to activate it I get this message on the top of the Plugins page:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

What about the WP theme? In the past this has been a favourite spot for hackers to hide malicious code files... And way you can replace that as well?
