Hi since we're using the buddypress profile and do some things that are specific to the logic of the site, we don't want people having access to their simple press profile.
Yes, there is a setting to tell sp to provide the bp profile link but it seems that the profile is still exposed.
In the past I have dealt with this by putting some code in the template, but I have to deal with this with each upgrade. So I am wondering if there is a way to redirect/or deny all access to the profile. I know I could make a redirect on wp_init if the url starts with /<forum-slug>/profile ... but I am worried that there might be holes that I am unaware of. For example, ajax links could still be exposed or there could be other routes or implications.
Perhaps there is a setting/function I am not aware of?
Thanks for any feedback.
so afraid we dont currently have a way to stop the profile url from actually working... we just dont expose it... but if someone 'guesses' it, they will go there...
at one time, we had a ticket for way to disable the profile... will see if its still out there and if not get one... but not ETA on it...
