awful now? you mean with default theme?
having seen the caching andy referred to, is why I asked about default theme... I would go ahead and put headway back with caching disabled and let us try tracking down some more... might be other options/settings that can get them working... like you mention, we have had other users using headaway...

Searched the Headway forum and MANY people are using SP, but nobody has that problem.
So I switched back to Headway, did some edits in a test post at http://problem-with-post-edit-.....st-timers/, no problems.
Turned caching back on, still no problems.
Could it have been a problem with just that one post?

MrPapa, didn't see your previous post before my last. The default themes have the widget areas on the sides, leaving very little room for the forum, that's what I meant by looking awful.
So Headway is active now and it works even with caching on, don't know what to think.
First I did countless edits in a new test post, then I edited and actually FIXED the problem post at http://problem-with-post-edit-.....-pots/#p10
I have NO idea what the problem was, have done no updates or any changes other than switching from Headway to a couple default themes and then back to Headway.
Sure appreciate your support here, unlike for a lot of other software I use!
