not sure, but worth a try... havent spent the time to look at it after the gconvert... but wont hurt anything...

Well - the importer did not time out at least, but it skipped our biggest forum with 57.000 posts... 
I'll try to reindex as you said.. If that works, everything is good.

skipped it? no clue why... anything unique about it? standard top level forum?

No, not really - it's our "general speak" forum..
EDIT: not skipped - it's actually in the forum view when I look, but only 8 pages, of a total 58 pages.

when importing, was the utf-8 option enabled?

Yes, on every forum - except on the large one.. the "general talk".. The little "bubble" that pops up, with a message: "Forum indexes rebuilt" is blank also..
Maybe there IS something strange about that forum, but I can't understand what.
Do you have any suggestions to what I can do about it?
