When I'm trying to see the database structure at this page : Database structure, I receive this message : [This page is marked as: Needs Writing]. I have take the copper membership because I was thinking that I will have access to this page. I need this information because I want to migrate from Webwiz forum to Simple Press so I need to build my own script. Can I get this information from an other place ? Tank you 🙂

Oh dear. This is my fault and I should have removed that menu option.

I used to have a great tool that ran on my Mac that generated a detailed DB schema in a simple way that was readable and useful - that also allowed for annotating. Sadly, the app stopped being developed and supported a couple of years back and soon fell into the broken category. And to date, I have not found a decent replacement.

I will deal with the codex item.

I am unfamiliar with WebWiz... is it a forum of some kind? A manually driven data conversion is somewhat daunting - especially when it comes to entities like users and their relationship with user groups, permissions and all the surrounding data that is not specific to forum topics, posts etc., They are almost the easy part!

I am willing to try and advise of course, Do you already have a WordPress site and are your users already in the WP database?

Actually- depending upon the complexity of the current data structures it may be easiest and simpler to create a script for our importer... I would need to see it...

alternatively, you could check out http://gconverters.com/

they specialize in forum imports...  we are not affiliated with them in any way, but multiple users have reported success...  and they seem to do webwiz to simple press  http://gconverters.com/convert.....mplepress/

Tanks for your help. I will try by myself. I don't have a big database with webwiz forum so I think it will not be too hard to do this. I will let you know when my convertion will be done. Sorry for the delay of my reply.

Have a nice day and gratz for your forum plugin. I really love it.
