Delay in topic and post showing up after posting

It's been happening since the start really when I created groups and forums though I considered it as it needed time to get these up and running. However, upon topics and posting, there are big delays in these showing up live. I don't know why but say I've posted a topic and >10 minutes later still hasn't shown up.

Why is this?

Using a cache plugin perhaps? You need to exclude the forum form any cache plugins.

Somewhere in the options should be a place to enter urls to exclude from the cache. Just add the forum permalink.

Well, it doesn't seem to be as simple as that. The nearest thing seems to be in the CDN and exclude if substring (.php) though it includes directories wp-content, wp-includes -

I don't know where and what kind of information I put to exclude the forum page at all

WP Super Cache Settings > Advanced scroll down to where it says "Add here strings (not a filename) that forces a page not to be cached...."

add in the forum page there.

If your forum page is named forum for example you would enter /forum/ there.

just tried that and inserted /forum/ in advanced and in the suggested area. However after deleting the cache through super cache and on my browser, it didn't work. Do I insert the URL or just forum. /forum/ doesn't work on its own..

I am not familiar with wp-super-cache these days but I have to admin I thought that /forum/ would do it. That is - assuming your forum is actually called 'forum'!

Is there no documentation or help of any kind?

Yeah my forum is simply called 'forum' but to no avail

It has some strings inside such as

wp-.*\.php
index\.php

maybe If I insert a .php for simplepress thought not sure which one to call.

Re-did it and it's working now! Thank you, just one more issue to resolve and I'm all good!
