you can either edit the post and open the attachments section and remove uploaded images... or you can use the forum tools to do the same...
if you want to remove images not related to the current post, you will need to do it on the server... as the title says, that uploads viewer plugin is a viewing only plugin...
we do have an open ticket for a more comprehensive uploads manager... not ETA...

What if the image I want to remove is in a PM; I cannot edit PM's?

unfortunately, same answer... on your server... via ftp or file manager... until we have a better UI for managing uploads...
