Seems there was a way to disable Akismet use on SimplePress, is that still an option? Tried looking in the Codex but i don't have access to that section i guess.
Also it there a post timeout setting? Had a guest complain after typing a large message the system timed out on him.

are you sure you cannot access the codex? were you logged in? should be able to, but perhaps misconfiguration for vip...
you can enable/disable akismet (assuming you have the admin bar plugin active) on forum - admins - global admin options...

Hi Steve, Yes i was logged in. Prompted me to choose a membership package.
Yes i have the admin bar plugin. Just want to disable Akismet completely. The sucks site gets some questionable visitors. Id rather get posts and manually moderate them.
I'm also using CleanTalk on the site. The two might be conflicting with each other.

well the akismet feature has an option to force posts into moderation vice delete if it thinks its spam..
have you tried since my post? made a slight configuration change after the post that should clear it up...
