I have no cached plugins.  Just reset the autos cache, but still running into the same issue.

Here are some more screenshots from after the reset of the auths cache.Screen-Shot-2015-02-01-at-1.04.52-PM.pngImage EnlargerScreen-Shot-2015-02-01-at-1.04.10-PM.pngImage EnlargerScreen-Shot-2015-02-01-at-1.02.18-PM.pngImage EnlargerScreen-Shot-2015-02-01-at-1.02.03-PM.pngImage EnlargerScreen-Shot-2015-02-01-at-1.01.31-PM.pngImage Enlarger

so are you saying, new topics and replies need moderation?

what is reason for first image? asking because it has no bearing here...

so you have the permission set configured (figure 2)....

figure 3 shows you have applied the permission set with members to introduction forum... is that the forum you are testing?  you would have to apply it to other forums to take effect in them too...

your last image shows you have set up the default permissions for the group... but that only applies to new forums created in the group... if you have existing forums in a group, you have to physically assign the permission and user group like you have done for the introduction forum...

New topics currently don't seem to need moderation, but replies for some reason do.  (And this is happening in the 'introduction forum' that I showed you.)

I sent the 1st image for background information so you saw how groups / forums were set up.

All the forums have the same settings.  I sent the 'Introduction forum' so that you can see what my forum settings are.

quite odd, as mentioned, we dont have any way to force moderation only on replies...  its either all or none...

does this happen for just users?  but fine for admins and moderators?

do you have link to site?

It's a hidden forum behind Wishlist Member, but I'm happy to make you add you as a member or admin.

For admins it works fine.  It's just for users.  We just launched the site and members were saying that they could only post a topic, but that they were in never-ending moderation when replying.

I have a test user account, and I am having the same issue.

Additionally, I don't show anywhere as an admin where I can check moderated comments.   I can only see from my test user account that all my comments are still awaiting moderation.

you can moderate the posts via the forum tools (https://simple-press.com/docum.....her-tools/) or via the admin bar plugin...

we can take a look if you pm yellow swordfish, Ike and myself the credentials via pm...  please note, its super bowl sunday, so response time will be slower than normal..

I think it's fixed.  Although I downloaded the plugins yesterday, the site said that there were updates.   I updated those and now everything seems to be working.

we did release 5.5.4 today and associated plugins...  no inherent fix though unless you had mismatched versions...

please continue to watch and let us know if it comes back as an issue... thanks for update...

I also had deactivated versions of mingle, bbpress and buddy press.  I got rid of those while I was updating also.  Maybe there was something in there that was messing with simple press, even though they weren't active.
