Hi All,

I've been a good boy and spent a few hours looking through the forum to see if this has been addressed, and can't find it anywhere!

On this site: --> foundmypad.com/forum (just scroll past the T&C's, you don't have to sign up!)

You'll see the problem straightaway. Regardless of browser (IE, FF, Chrome, Opera, Safari) I get confused dropdowns.

I've looked in the code, and although I thought this might be a classipress conflict on the CSS, it seems there is a display : inline-block applied at the lowest level, so I can't overcome it with CSS.

(In Chrome, if I change the display: inline-block to none for the <a class="select Box selectBox-dropown" .../> elements in #spQuickLinksTopic and #spQuickLinksForum, that fixes the problem.  But because it seems the :inline-block is applied at element level, I can't overcome it with css)

I'm hoping this is an easy one for you guys -- I've been inspecting and firebugging elements all day!

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Ron

Just noticed -- when I look on the simple:press support forums here, you don't have the extra line I've got.

After the line <div id = "spQuickLinksTopicSelect_child" ....</div>

the forum here has two more </div> tags.

Mine has an extra line in between those tags -- the <a class="selectBox selectBox-dropdown" .... </a>

(and again similarly after spQuickLinksForumSelect_child)

It does look like classipress's selectbox JQuery is getting in the way or causing the problem.

Does it have a way to turn it off for testing?

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for jumping in!  I've not found a way to turn off jQuery on Classipress, only a setting which allows it to be pulled from Google rather than served by my own server.  But, that made no difference.

Thanks again for the suggestion!

Regards,

Ron

Thank you very much Mr. Papa -- dunno why I couldn't find that when I searched the forum!

That's covered the cost of my membership right there.

Thanks again!

(now I'm looking to see if there's a way to thumbs-up your post, or somehow vote for you ... can't find that either!)

Regards,

Ron
