Does that mean moving the current database? If so remember all of the forum tables (starting 'sf') and the WP users and usermeta tables are required. Then the current 'sp-resources' folder under '/wp-content' will need to be transferred. And finally there are a few places in the forum options where the site url may be recorded (such as the login/registration redirects for example) so those will need checking and correcting.

I assumed it included moving the current database, but I guess not...I have now changed domain and it went much more painless than I really expected. Actually, everything is working perfectly and I have not detected any errors. However I would still like to check this one thing with you guys.
I have been following this guide for the domain change: https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/pr.....345#before
In step 2 it states that usernames, passwords, files and databases will remain unchanged and since everything appears to be working fine, would I then still need to do step 4? Or deal with any specific SP files? I am only running the SP forum on my website and I really just want to avoid any possible errors in the future.
you of course will have to have an installation of WordPress as well as Simple Press... those are the main website files...
you will also want to drag along a copy of any user defined files... thats those defined on forum - integration - storage locations... by default that would be wp-content/sp-resources... but if you had SP pre v5, they may be a bit more separated...
