Hello,
how can I download plugins? The Checkout always breaks and leaves me with an unstyled site on which I cannot do anything. Might have something to do with a timeout,but I am not sure what to do against the fact that the site is slow like hell 😉

We are seeing no slow down of the website - in fact it is loading nice and fast this morning.
We are also experiencing no download problems - I just tried one myself to make sure.
If you experiencing really slow site loading then I would respectfully suggest that this is a local problem between you and your ISP. But I would start by closing down your browser and starting with it freshly opened. Some browsers, especially Firefox, can slow to a crawl if left open too long. If not that then I would have a word with your ISP support to see what they have to say.
