Do a quick search on avada and you see quite a list!

I have not read them all but at least noticed one that said the latest update from the avada team fixed an issue.

The problem is not so much that url fragments are getting stripped. It is more that POST variables from the edit-post form sent to the server are being stripped.

I would start by asking the Avada team what is happening to them. But it would be worth checking if there is a theme update you can try with first
