I have the latest version installed with the css-only theme. As an administrator I can't seem to edit a post or topic. I click on the edit button and it reverts back to the forum overview, but no editing option.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a possible script conflict.
Can I have a link to your forum page?

The forum is behind a membership site. I'm prepared to give you an account there so you can have a look. Please send an e-mail to my e-mail address directly, so I can send you the credentials.

Better method for us:

Please PM credentials to both myself and to 'Mr Papa'. Please include in the PM a link to your site, a link to this thread and brief reminder of the problem. And one of us will take a look for you.

This is a very strange site. The need for a certificate doesn't help me much as it is hard to navigate. But mainly I am getting absolutely NO feedback in the console... and that is something I have never seen before on any site.

So we will need you to check please. I d not know what browser you use bit all the main ones come with a script console these days - often in some sort of development or tools menu. You need to open that - clear it out of it has anything shown in it - load a forum page and then try one of the operations that is failing. See what gets reported. As I say - when I try it I get nothing but I suspect it's an AJAX issue and only you can try those.

interestingly it looks like query args are getting stripped out...  are you running any special 'security' plugins?  or mod_security at server level?

Not that I know of. I have a attached my htaccess file and as you might have seen I'm using s2Member as the plugin to deal with subscriptions to the site. Because this is a test site, I have not bothered getting a proper certificate for it :-)

I have looked in Safari, Chrome and Firefox and I have the same issue in each browser. I have run the site in Firefox with Firebug and the console logging, but nothing is shown ...

If you need anything to have a further look, please let me now.

Thanks,

Dave

right now, need to understand why your server seems to be stripping query args from urls...

right, I have disabled all the plugins and it worked fine. Then by slowly activating the plugins I found out that by activating WooCommerce, the query arguments got stripped off. Now what?

Most curious,. We certainly have had users with woocommerce installed before.

I guess you need to ask them if they have any clue as to what is happening...and why the query args are getting stripped.
