Hi,
When I edit the content of a post, and then click to save the edits that I have made - the edits are not being saved. Does anyone know what might be wrong please ?

As far as I can recall this is probably the first report of such behaviour we have seen. Let's get rid of the obvious one first. Are you using any sort of WP cache plugin?

Yes - thanks for the reply. I am using WP-Rocket but is it not caching logged in users. The board can only been seen by logged in users and I can check whether the cache is active by checking the Page Source. The cache is not active.
I have just deactivated WP-Rocket and checked whether edits to posts can be saved and sadly I cannot.
I was using Chrome and have checked whether the situation is the same for Firefox and it is.
The posts are locked and are read only.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

If the posts are either locked or read-only then you would not be able to make edits. There is no edit link under these conditions.
So - if there is no page caching involved - which is what would stop the edits showing up until the cached page expired, another possibility is some sort of database issue. Go the forum error log (toolbox) and clear out the log (button at the bottom). Make an edit and save and when the page has reloaded go back to the error log to see if any errors happened. Just actual errors please.
