Editing, Deleting, Moving, anything that modifies a post stopped working.

Any ideas where I should look for this one.

As Admin I cant edit, delete, move a post. The buttons are there, they can be clicked, but they just refresh the screen back to the original view. I can create a post, or even quote one. It seems anything that modifies a post isn't being allowed to happen.

Same happens for any logged in user who has the permissions to carry out those tasks.

Do you have a WP plugin that is caching the forum pages? If so it needs to be set to ignore the forum pages. If that's not the issue I would check for any Jquery conflicts. Here is more on that. http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/

Funny you should say that. I did install a few caching plugins last week to try out caching and none of them worked how I wanted as so they've been uninstalled. It is in the back of my mind that somehow something has been changed that the removal of these plugins has not restored, but where to look evades me.

Is the suggestion here that these functions stopped working after you installed some of the caching plugins? I wuild not expect them to have this sort opf effect but you never know...

Some caching plugins add items to your wp-config.php; can add files to the wp-content folder and can even make changes to your .htaccess file. In my experience, deactivating them does NOT undo these changes - at least the ones I have tried did not clean up after themselves. I would hope that thaeir documentation would inform you of anything you might need to manually do...

No, it was the only change I have done recently that I thought may be the culprit. It may have been doing this for longer, I just noticed it a few days back.

Its a bit difficult to track down without any error log to help :(

The likelihood is that you have a script conflict. If you know how to use the script console of your browser - or Firebug - then that would probably show us. The link Brandon gave you above can also help track down any potential and obvious script loading issues.

yes, I did have a look  at what was said in the second post, however most of that is new to me so I'm working my way into understanding what I'm looking at.

just a hunch, but can you try disabling the nextgen scroll gallery plugin? and see if it works then...  its loading a mootools library which is known to conflict with wp usage of jquery due to namespace conflicts... not always mind but with other jquery heavy plugins like simple press...

I dont even see a gallery or scroller in use on the forum page so it shouldnt be loading its stuff on the page anyways - wasteful...  but if we know its a conflict we can probably provide a work around for it...
