Just want to make sure, if I temp deactivate jetpack, will I lose any settings or configuration when I reactivate?
I have an expert WP guy that does work for me, I will ask him when I get back before I try and let you know!
OK, turned off all plugins (including jetpack) on WP and no difference. Still having the same issue. Any other ideas??
couple things... jetpack is still active...
and js errors from jetpack are still killing js processing... if you want us to look, please turn off jetpack so we can get past that error... and see what else might be an issue...

Mr. Papa, I turned off all plugins including jetpack, and the problem continued. I have my own guy seeing what he can find
okay... the error from jetpack is still there though...

Ok, I get that, but Jetpack is not the problem, WE completely turned it off (deactivated it and removed the link from WP) and the problem did not go away. As soon as my WP guy has an answer, I will let you know!
You have missed the point.
If a script conflict occurs that effects the jQuery library then all other jQuery based scripts simply stop functioning and therefore do not throw any error messages. So - one conflict can completely mask the existence of a second conflict until it is removed from the diagnosis.
This may not be the case here but looking for a secondary conflict might only be possible with the first conflict removed from the equation.
No doubt your WP guy will know this and can accommodate this accordingly.
