OK..I am using wishlist as I see you are too, and WL wont give me any help with SP so pls help me on this...when I register through WL a test user, and logout, then go to my forum page and try to login on on my forum page (not wp-admin.php) it wont accept my login. When I use the same login on wp-admin.php it does and then redirects to forum no problem. I want ppl to login on SP page. question

there is no login on wp-admin.php???  do you mean wp-login.php?

we use wishlist here (as do hundreds of other sp users)... there is zero changes or customization needed for them to play regarding logins...  and keep in mind that whether from wp-login.php or the forum inline login form, the actually logging in runs through the exact same wp code (not sp)...  submitting the inline login form in SP calls the wp-login.php file to log you in....

these are all on the same domain right? with no funky redirection or caching?  and your use of www or not in urls is consistent?

you are right about wp-admin and wp-login...and I do hear what you are saying, but I have tested it about 5 times now and it logs in everytime on wp but not on forum login. I also tried another test name but same result...I have recently switched servers but following your instr I rebuilt the profile tabs. no other weird stuff that I am aware ofcry

I am also wanting to move all my peeps from one forum to another...I am assuming all I need to do is in WL member profile I need to unclick one forum and click on the other. Is there anything else I need to do on the SP side?

Thanks

again, we are not in the registration process... that is wp...

moving folks and/or forum content from one forum to another will be really tricky...   if there is any content, you need to make sure their user id comes out exactly the same in the new site or they wont be associated with their posts...

if you want to just move users to an empty site/forum, there are wp plugins which will help you move the users... wishlist might even be able too...

Mr Papa, I understand you are not in the reg process, but my folks cannot login through the forum login form on the forum page (while they can on wp - I am only saying that for the record that I have correct login in) - having that in mind, how how can I get thier forum logins to work?

oh, you mean move with usergroups...  on forum - usergroups - manage usergroups you can move members between usergroups or add/delete them from usergroups...

as to log in... did you verify you use of www or not across wp and sp settings?

do you have a link?

what you are saying doesnt really make sense...  users (subscribers as you call them) are not in forums...  users are in user groups...  you can assign a user group with a permission set to a forum to govern access...

so are you wanting to move users from within a usergroup to another usergroup???

if so you do that on forum - usergroups - manage usergroups...  for each usergroup there is a button to move/delete users... so  you can move from one usergroup to another...

let me try this way..I have people who have reg for forum1, but I changed some things and i want them to be reg only for forum2. Do I adjust them in WP each user separately whereit shows which level they have access to, do I move them in WL from one memb level to another or something third? (in WL forum1 is one level and forum2 is another)...Im sorry I dont know how else to explain this.
