Odd - I just replaced my avatar on this site using Chrome with the 'fakepath' in the url and it uploaded with no problem. As, indeed, it should. The 'fakepath' is simply a mechanism to prevent the actual path being sent to the browser in plain text and thus potentially made available. So - any message? do we know if there are other reasons for an upload to fail?

such as.... how big is the avatar (file size and image size)? have you checked the server error log for more info?

when I started this topic I thought that the problem was with "fakepath", now I realized that the problem was with the size of the image as @Mr Papa asked me. Now it works fine ! Thanks you a lot
