My initial forum page comes up but i no other pages will work such as profile page.  cannot add topics or add posts.

I looked on error log and here is what I get:

file: /simple-press/sp-api/sp-api-plugins.php
line: 82
function: closedir
Warning | closedir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource

What do i need to do to correct?

I think we can safely ignore the warning for now and return to that later when we have the actual problem resolved.

It sounds like a fairly typical case of conflicting javascripts at the moment and is probably explained by this codex article: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....-conflict/

if you can check for this we can usually help sort it out fairly easily if this is the problem. If not then a link to your forum would be useful to have.

you have something really weird occurring on your site... take a look a look at ANY url of your site after it loads...

you will see:

&doing_wp_cron=1351382902.7150790691375732421875

or similar added to every page... as well as some odd and perhaps incorrect url encoding of other arguments in the url...

do you know what is doing that and why??  its non standard and appears to be causing issues...

BackupBuddy used to cause something like the doing_wp_cron deal. Don't know if they made any changes lately but here is some info on it and WordPress's ALTERNATE_WP_CRON' param that might help.

No, not at all... just working through it... but we do need to figure out what is adding that query arg... I dont even understand why it would be doing that... and why the unneeded and damaging encoding of query arg separators...

before you give up, would suggest we try to understand the issue...

most?

first step would be to try a temp switch to the default wp theme... if still broke, then deactivate all other plugins... and see if still going...

btw, we have other users using Artisteer theme too... but you might have different configuration...

can you post contents of your .htaccess too? or at least look for any non standard wp rules...

FOUND IT!!!!

I put to default theme and no change.

I deactivated: All-in-One Event Calendar by Timely and it started working correctly.

why would a calendar plugin cause all of that?...
