Support Forum
Hi there. I just installed Simple Press in concert with Wishlist, using wp 3.6 (which simple press required). However, in the admin area I'm getting the following error:
ERROR: The page slug is either missing or incorrect. The forum will not display until this is corrected
I've got a blank page called 'Forum' and it's displaying the forum properly on there, all the wishlist integration is working fine. Whenever I enter that page to be the wp page to display the forum, I get the error above. However, everything is working fine.
Do I need to worry or is it OK?
I've searched the forum and the codex, but have found nothing. In fact, when I search the simple press forum with this text or even 'slug', I get an error message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 262144 bytes) in/problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/spcom/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1228
Thanks for the information of us running out of memory there while you searched. We do try and run our support site on low php memory as it is a good test of minimum requirements and enables us to advise users better. But we are probably due to uprate it. Every WordPress release demands more let alone other plugins we run as well...
Now - your problem message is most curious as this should not, of course, happen. Can you (1) check that there are No other WP pages names 'Forum' OR with a slug of 'forum'. It can happen - we have seen it!
Make sure when checking that you check the trash as we have seen that as well...
Also make sure you have no sub-folders from the site root named /forum.
When that all looks good - go to the integration > page and permalink admin panel - re-select the right page from the list at the top and then immediately click on the update button at the bottom. Let's see what happens.
