In place of a browser page title tag, I'm getting this error text (aka it shows up in place of a title tag on the browser tab):

Warning: missing argument 2 for sp_setup_browser_title() in .....wp-content\plugins\simple-press\sp-startup\forum\sp-forum-support-functions.php on line 563

Well a few things. First up your php and hosting environment should NEVER output notices or warnings to the screen. Most unusual. ALL recommendations are not on a production site.

Next up  - I am a little unsure why you should see that at all. Even when I change my variables to force that condition I get no warning reported. So that is odd.

However - please go to the forum admin > components > SEO and see what you have set fore the 'Title separator' field. Usually this is a bar | character. If it is empty please try putting one in and seeing if that resolves the message.

Well that didn't work.

But I notice if I change themes, the issue goes away. I checked on the support site for my theme developers and there are actually a few other people who have reported this same issue with other plugins. So I guess it's a theme issue. I just don't understand why the warning would point to a simplepress plugin file if that were the case. And the issue only happens on forum pages, not other pages of the site. I'll just have to see what the response is for the other people and get back to you...

Thanks!

Lucid via Elegant Themes

Another person in the Elegant forums was saying they were getting a similar error for a different plugin.

missing argument2 for WPBP plugin metatitle0 on line 782 missing argument3 for WPBP plugin metatitle0 on line 782

Again having to do with the browser title. I reverted back to an older version of the theme and everything is fine, so some change they made is causing the problem I think?

So they're saying it's a plugin issue. Another plugin that was having the same problem (Business Directory I think) said they were able to fix it. So maybe ask them??

*Shrug* I know that's unhelpful but it's all I have.
