I deactivated 4.5.1 and chose the delete option too. Any clues as to what the problem is? And by the way, the one time I thought I wont take a backup before I start, I get a problem. I'm kicking myself as we speak. Thanks in advance for any help.

we have had a small handful (out of many thousands) of upgraders who had a similar problem...  looks like you lost your permssions during the upgrade?   and to date, we have not been able to ascertain while half a dozen folks had this...

can you look on forum - permissions - manage permissions and see if you have any permission sets defined?

Is there any chance you could grab another download of V5. It was updated yesterday to 5.0.1 and while we are still having a problem trying to work out why a small few people have had this problem there was one change in there that may possibly help so it is worth a try...

Well there is no need to apologise for not making a backup but as we do state in the upgrade instructions we may not be able to help if the logical answer is to restore.

So - do you have access to phpMyAdmin and do you now how to look at tables and maybe change an item of data if needed?

The best suggestion I can make is to get past the bit that is causing you the problem to see if you can complete the update knowing that will have to go back and repair that bit afterwards.

Go to the database and find the 'sfoptions' table and find the row that has an option_name of 'sfbuild'. Change the option-value to 6710 and retry the upgrade.
