Error when upgrading: 'The plugin does not have a valid header.'

I am upgrading to the latest version but receive the error 'The plugin does not have a valid header.'

 

what should I do here?

Are you upgrading from an earlier 5.0.x version to a later one or from a 4.x or older version to the latest 5.0.5?

You might want to take a quick look at the upgrading page in the codex and see if that helps.

that error almost always comes from using the wp plugin installer... it does not support plugins with multiple directory levels.. please ftp the plugin to your server... then in the future, you will be able to use the wp updater for updates...
