So I posted on here about the error that I'm facing and it's obviously a simple press global problem because it's gone wrong here too.

See: https://simple-press.com/suppo.....hin-posts/ as you can see there is no post.

Check your error_log and you'll see the exact error I was getting.

No - we don't have that error in the log.

So - can you walk me through EXACTLY what you did here?

I posted my error logs and said that it appears to not like smart phone emojis, the errors that I posted can be seen: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=kxWEWUSk

I thought you said you used an emoji in your post here? I am confused, I am asking what you did before the topic vanished. I saw the error entries prior to that.

There is an emoji in the error, there is actually 3. If you go and try and post the contents of the pastebin it won't post...

Yes I see it now. I also see what has happened.
WordPress have updated the collation type of the tables in WP 4.2 but have only converted their own core tables instead of the entire database (which is what I would have expected)
Will need to do some testing and conversions.
Apologies for that. They did not exactly make a big announcement about it or we would have known.

Again like my other post, glad it's not my fault / only to do with me. Silly wordpress 😛

Any chance a fix for this will be in the next update (whenever that may be?)

Absolutely we will get the tables updated to the new collation in the next core update. This will probably come sooner than you think actually. Possibly next weekend though don't hold me to it!
