excessive whitespace in layout of replies - can it be eliminated?

I'm somewhat bothered by the excessive amount of white space I seem to be using up with entries. I'm attaching a screenshot. Is it possible to bring the information on the right side of the entry up so that it forms a two column entry with the things on the right, as I've indicated on the shot? Or is there anything else that I can do to tidy up the display here?
