Hi there,

I am aiming to move a forum with all its posts and settings to another wordpress installation.
Are there any tips and tricks that can make this process smooth?

From what I understand about WP and SimplePress it would be required to copy all the content files from "sp-resources" folder and the SP plugin of course to the other install as well as the all SimplePress related database tables. Is there anything else I should do or keep in mind?

You are correct on the database tables and the sp-resources folder. The trickier part are the users - explained in the FAQ.

Thanks, brother!
I will make sure the user tables are moved with the sp tables and I think it should be fine. I will make sure that both installation run exactly the same WP and SP version, so there is no possible conflict in the table structure or program logic or how we one can call that.
