I'm trying to use Facebook Connect with my forum.
http://wordpress.org/extend/pl.....k-connect/

But after I hit accept it just "refreshes" the page and nothing has happened.

Anyone have any idea? Or can you recommend a good way to intergrate the FB login with my forum?

Ok I should have dug around more before posting. The plugin simply doesn't work any more.

Can anyone recommend a way to intergrate FB login with WP/SP ?

I tried the method here,
https://simple-press.com/suppo.....in/page-2/

But it doesn't work. It creates 3 copies of the login buttons and clicking on Facebook simple brings up a blank screen. Maybe I'm using the wrong FB plugin? http://wordpress.org/extend/pl.....l-connect/

have you searched our forums?  several other users have posted how to get that plugin working well with simple press...

simple press also has rpx/janrain support built into it...  so they can use facebook to log in...

I'll check out JanRain further. I tried the latest one I could find but it wouldn't work for me. I'll continue looking and maybe/problem-with-post-edit-buttonopefully get JR working.

No, not a janrain plugin, but built into sp... see forum - components - login and registration...  we used it here until the membership stuff stated...

That's what I meant, sorry. Personally speaking, I prefer to keep everything as in-house as possible if that makes sense. I'll continue to look for a way to impliment another plugin. I did set it up, though, and it looked good but I've just always preferred to keep it in house.

Here is a link that explains how to add FB comments without using a plugin. http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutoria.....ess-theme/

Another option might be using a WP plugin called Hanna Code Insert to paste your FB code to a short code. I am using it to add FB comments on certain pages while excluding it from others. Works well for just about anything you want to quickly add to a post or page.
