Fatal error message

I've been having a few problems with the forum page display lately and still trying to track down the problem - I think it's being caused by another plugin. However I just had a fatal error message. This is the second time I've seen it in about a week.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function ***/plugins/simple-press/sp-api/sp-api-wpdb.php on line 198

The error occurred when I was trying to preview a scheduled post and has nothing to do with the forum whatsoever. The preview page timed out after about a minute or so and then this error message appeared. After I refreshed the browser, all was fine.

I'm not sure if it's related to the current problem I'm having, but maybe you could let me know what might have caused it. Am using the latest version of sp and everything is updated.

There's nothing in the error log except this

file: /simple-press/sp-api/sp-api-timezone.php
line: 29
function: date_default_timezone_set
Notice | date_default_timezone_set() [function.date-default-timezone-set]: Timezone ID 'UTC -5' is invalid

Thanks.

you seem to have cut out too much of the error message... what function is undefined???

dont worry about the timezone message, we have taken care of that in 5.1 and its a harmless notice...

Ooops, sorry about that. I'll have to wait till I see it again to capture the full line of code.

That would be useful.

Are you using the blog linking plugin - or do you have any forum components being used outside of the forum - like the widget or a template tag?

Hola,

I'm hearing about this error from a few of my users now:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function sp_construct_database_error() . . . sp-api-wpdb.php on line 198

Like ozgirl57, there are not any entries in the SP error log.  I am not using any SP widgets either.

We have three such reports.

Is there any possibility you might be able to elicit what these users were doing at the time? We really need something to focus on...

I am told that one user was in the process of previewing a forum post that had an image attached to it when the error hit.  The other--quite strangely--was simply browsing our website, completely apart from the forum.
