I'm having an odd problem now in the forum admin. Since I just about an hour ago updated the quick html plugin, when I am in the forum admin (through wordpress admin panel) I am not able to click on any of the buttons/linkss on the side panel on the left. they do not load. It will only show the forum edit main page. Help? I've tried IE and FF, same thing on both.

For instance, I want to upload some plugins now through the "Plugin Uploader" area but I cannot get to the page, as the link when clicked does not load at all, even if you right click and and select load in a new tab, still goes to the main forum admin page and nothing else.

First I deleted your other post that mentioned this same thing so as not to confuse.

I am no expert on the back-end admin pages in anyway but if you think it is the html plugin then deleting it via FTP should make things work again or eliminate if it is causing a problem.

We really always have to ask the first and most obvious question... has something changed? when things work and then stop working it is usually because something changed. An update to WP, a WP plugin or your WP theme for example. A new WP plugin added... Anything?

And if not - what browser do you generally use please?

I am having the same trouble as this commenter.  I use Google Chrome as my browser of choice.  I cannot associate this change in behavior with any particular change - though it is possible it happened after the latest Simple Press upgrade (not plugins).  When I click any admin link it just returns me to the main SP admin page (actually jumps me to the top of that page, regardless of what else I'm doing).  The menus will still expand when I click on links on the lefthand side, but those links lead nowhere.

To be clear - this behavior exists in Firefox & Safari as well.

It sounds like there may be an issue with Jquery in your admin pages. Some WordPress themes don't do a good job with not loading JQuery that is not needed or could be in the way in the wp-admin pages.

If you switch to a WP supplied theme like twenty-ten do the forum admin pages work?

Hey there,

I can't just change my theme, even temporarily, because my site is one of my primary sources of income and the forum lives on that site.  I do that kind of thing late on Sundays, typically.  However, my poking around discovered that it was a problem with an SEO plugin.  I uninstalled and reinstalled that plugin and voilà.

Just so everyone knows.  🙂

SAME THING happened to me.. it was yoast SEO plugin. I had clicked on an update that same day for the SEO plugin, I've actually installed the previous version of the SEO plugin to overcome this issue.
