Done Steve!

I sent it to you, Andy, Ike and Brandon again.

Don't worry for the time, I can wait. Everything is working perfectly, apart from that plugin.

Okay, I have this working on your site now....

This has to be one of the funkiest wp themes I have ever seen...  I dont really understand the themes (like this one) that disregard the wp head actions...  that is so standard in wp, its hard to imagine you have to create a theme that bypasses it...  but obviously, the wp api allows it (some how)...

I should be careful here...  it could actually be another wp plugin that is forcing the wp head bypass - didnt check that deep, but that would be even more astonishing... ;)

so I changed one of our core files to do something a bit different if the wp head action is bypassed...  and its working for you...  we are gonna have to a ton more testing to make sure its something we can actually deliver as part of core, but I suspect we can...

even more mysterious though, is why it only rears itself when the template tags plugin is active...  must be something to do with it adding a wp widget...  you might run into similar problems with our plugins that add widgets????  maybe, maybe not..

but anyways, you should be able to use the template tags plugin... its active and site working...

Thank you so much Steve!

I have no idea about the theme, I liked it and I got it! I will probably need to change it soon...

Now, I suppose I cannot upgrade the Template Tags plugin when a newer version comes out.

Am I right?

no.. as I said, I edited simple press core...  and we will be testing doing something similar in next version to handle an oddball theme like this... so hopefully, you wont even notice when next sp is released..

We do not believe there is a problem as such with any of the plugins. For people who have experienced problems here - and it is just a small handful - it seems to have been different plugins.

Sadly @evermorev has not come back to us yet regarding the last question we asked which was:  'look at the subscription and watches directories in wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins…  are they correctly subscriptions and watches?  they don't have a number appended to them?'.

Could you check the same thing but for the 'template-tags' folder?

Sorry for not answering or responding, I was travelling and am back now. I have checked these and there is no version appended to them. They are just the subscriptions and watches directory. I also updated them to the latest version (a later version came out since I last posted) and the same thing is happening.

if okay, try one thing... in your sp theme spFunctions.php template file, find this:

define('SP_USE_PRETTY_CBOX', true);

and try changing it to false...

as always, we strongly suggest you have a child them or your own theme vice editing our theme..

I tried this and there was no effect.

Can I can as did Stefano send you my ftp and cpanel credentials?
