So - I assume you mean you have sp-de_DE.mo in the sp-resources/forum-language/simple-press/ folder.
What you need to remember is that the bulk of what you see on the front end is NOT in the core but comes from the SP theme you are using. So you need to install the language file for that as well. The admin side is also a separate language file so you will need that also. Hopefully these components will have been translated.
These were broken up into small, separate files mainly due to very popular requests from users.

i have the files in the content /wp-content/sp-resources/forum-language.
I have the spDefault-de.mo and spDefault-de.po downloaded the spDefault-de.mo in spDefault-de_DE.mo rename an in the put in the folder /wp-content/sp-resources/forum-language/And the Folder for themes
The WP Lang is set to define('WPLANG', 'de_DE');

I am not sure what more to say. I have just downloaded the most up to date 'de' MO files for the core, admin and default themes, switched my WP_LANG to German and they all work flawlessly.
If you go to the forum admin > integration > storage locations panel does it state there that the language folders are readable?
