Hello,

i have a Problem with the Forum i can not use the template or admin bar change to another language.

I have the Languages files de.mo in de_DE.mo renamed and uploaded in the sp-ressources folder but the template or admin is not in German.

What can i do ?

So - I assume you mean you have sp-de_DE.mo in the sp-resources/forum-language/simple-press/ folder.

What you need to remember is that the bulk of what you see on the front end is NOT in the core but comes from the SP theme you are using. So you need to install the language file for that as well. The admin side is also a separate language file so you will need that also. Hopefully these components will have been translated.

These were broken up into small, separate files mainly due to very popular requests from users.

Well have you also installed the correct theme language file?

Can I have a link to your forum?

OK - can you talk me through what you have done? What files have you downloaded, what have you named them and where did you put them? And finally - what is your WP_LANG set to?

So what you need to end up with is:

sp-de_DE.mo (core) and spa-de_DE.mo (admin) go in to ../forum-language/simple-press/

spDefault-de_DE.mo (theme) go in to ../forum-language/sp-themes/

which looks like you have not got.

I am not sure what more to say. I have just downloaded the most up to date 'de' MO files for the core, admin and default themes, switched my WP_LANG to German and they all work flawlessly.

If you go to the forum admin > integration > storage locations panel does it state there that the language folders are readable?
